And so I may have been on the roads for a year plus only but I have quite a number of pet peeves I wish to just share.
Topping my list would be the ROAD HOGGERS, because I am impatient by nature. And while I do not recklessly speed to get to my destination, I have a big issue with drivers who think it’s fun to road hog on the right lane. I am often on the right lane unless I’m feeling slow and lazy for the day. I don’t know what’s going on in their heads. Look, if you think you can’t keep up at 90 to 110km/hr on the highway because you’re too chicken cautious, please just keep to the middle or left lane. I do have beef with the road hogging motorcyclist too. They ride at 50-60km/but hog the entire right lane, like as thought it’s their grandfather’s road. Le Sigh.
The next would be the AH BENG DRIVERS OR MOTORCYCLISTS. No matter how many racer stickers you paste on your windscreen or bike is not gonna make a racer. So stop driving/riding dangerously and being a hazard to the rest.
I really can’t stand reckless motorcyclists who think that they are stunt performers or racers, you can tell from the way they believe they are so ‘skilfully’ manouvering in between cars on the expressway. You would think with the recent PIE accident in which the biker had his leg severed off would be a solemn reminder to these dare-devils but no. I absolutely hate it when they swerve into my lane as I’m changing lanes. Or when I’m reverse parking and the biker thinks it’s fun to just ride past through between my car and the parking lot. Honestly, if I knock down one of these idiots, I won’t feel a tinge of guilt.
I guess that’s all for now, sure, sometimes driving can cause the blood pressure to rise. However, it sure beats taking the MRT which has become so unreliable nowadays. Did I also mention that it’s full of all these non-locals nowadays who don’t even bother giving up their seats to a pregnant lady. So yeah, I rather drive and endure the crap.
