Let me also share a few interesting nail tips which I had learnt at the Sally Hansen event. Did you know that there is a recommended nail shape for different types of fingers so that your nails could compliment your hands.
The most common 3 nail shape types would be: Round, Oval & Square.
As you can see, I’m a huge fan of square nails and coincidentally, square nails would suit me better as my fingers are rather long and slim.
For ladies with petite, small fingers then round nails is recommended where as for those with slightly meaty fingers would suit oval nails better. This is because it creates a tapering effect due to the oval tips.
Next, we move on to how to remove cuticle effectively. You know some manicurists use a cutter but you need to be experienced to use one else if you damage the cuticle bed, it would only invite infections. So you can try using this Sally Hansen Gel Cuticle Remover.
Simply apply it around your cuticle area and leave it for 1-2 minutes. As this product is very effective, it is not recommended to leave it on for more than 10 minutes. So you should always work on 1 hand at a time.

Next, you use the flat tip of the orange stick to gentle make round motions around your cuticle to remove it.
After that, give your nails a quick rub with a cotton cloth. You may apply cuticle oil if you do not intend to paint your nails else leave it to the end of the nail painting nails.
Now, how do we apply nail polish effectively?
1. Roll bottle gently between palms to ‘warm’ it
2. Open the cover and try to minimize its content with the air so as to prolong lifespan of your polish. Circle the wand in mid point.
3. Flick the brush flat on the corner of the bottle neck so that you do not get too much polish on your brush.
4. When applying the polish on your nail, start from the middle’s mid point. Go downwards and then upwards. The next time you go for a manicure session, check out how the manicurist does it.
