[Blogger Andrew Kayden] My Journey with Halley Medical Asthetics

It’s the truth, the world is a superficial place and whether we like it or not, we are constantly judged by the way we look.

I have never really had a problem with my appearance but of course, as with everyone else, there are certain things about myself I wish was just a little bit better, and I jumped at the chance to ask Dr. Terence Tan from Halley Medical Aesthetics when I met him.

Going for that first consultation, I was worried that Dr. Tan would want to change everything about me. "What if I come out not looking like me?” and "What if he wanted to change things about me that I didn't think was an issue in the first place?” All these doubts were put to rest within 10 minutes of meeting Dr. Tan. He has that natural ability to put people at ease and instead of telling me what he thought I should be doing, he first made sure he knew what it was that I wanted to improve on.

There were a few issues that I highlighted to him, namely, the problem with my fat face, the fact that I look like I am constantly tired no matter how much I sleep and my oily skin which leads to a whole lot of clogged pores.

Upon consultation, Dr. Tan recommended me a few treatments to help with my problems.

1. Botox and fillers to shape the face, making it less angular, more refined and more rejuvenate.

2. Fraxel Dual Laser for my undereye area to improve the skin texture and skin tone as well as reduce the appearance of eyebags.

3. CO2 laser in ultra-pulse mode, blue light therapy and the clinic’s Brilliance skincare serums to combat the whiteheads and my oily skin problems

As all of the treatments are done with at least a month break in between, I did not notice how much has changed since my first consultation with Halley Medical Aesthetics, that is till I went back to the clinic to have my final post treatments review and lo and behold, a side by side comparison of my face, then vs now.

I am not kidding when I say I was shocked at the difference Dr. Tan made. There are moments before the final review that I would get compliments from friends that I have not seen for a long time about how I look fresher and better but I have never put much thoughts into it, but looking at the before and after pictures, it all makes sense now.

Evidently, my face is definitely a lot more refined with less harsh, sharp angles thanks to the slimming effect of Botox on my Jaw. The fillers on my chin also added a lot more definition to my overall face shape. Fillers to the mid-face area combined with the Fraxel Dual Laser gave me a more youthful look and addressed my earlier complaint that I am always looking tired.

Skin is looking smoother and brighter too thanks to the Fraxel Dual Laser, CO2 laser and blue light therapy.

And if you read my previous post, you would know that my biggest concern is the fact that I look tired all the time because of my eye bag and dark eye circles, all these are now a thing of the past!

If I thought things couldn’t get better, Dr. Tan introduced me to CoolSculpting by Zeltiq so not only does my face get better, my body gets better as well!

Even though I am pretty slim to begin with, over the course of the past couple months, I definitely see my abdominal region getting more toned. And even though I have not been working out consistently for a pretty long-time due to my busy schedule, my stomach is still looking pretty tight and flat which I have no doubt is thanks to the CoolSculpting working its magic. I will share my review soon as it takes three months for CoolSculpting to show results.

Honestly, I walked into Halley Medical Aesthetics not knowing what to expect and walked out a better version of myself. Thank you, Dr. Terence Tan, and Halley Medical Aesthetics!
