The inaugural Women’s Fashion Week 2011 graced Singapore from 26th to 30th October 2011 at Marina Bay Sands.
Attended by more than 400 people, the hall was sizzling with ambassadors, dignitaries and prominent social personalities. Local celebrities like Fann Wong, Pierre Png, Andrea D’Cruz, Patricia Mok, Jade Seah, Julian Hee and hairstylist to the stars, David Gan, celebrity makeup artist Clarence Lee and celebrity aesthetic doctor Dr. Georgia Lee, amongst others graced the event.
Haute Couture Women’s Fashion Week 2011 Singapore showcases some of the most creative works by Maxime Simoens, Gustavo Lins, Stephane Rolland, Eymeric Francois, Alexis Mabille and Christophe Josse.
Treated to the most brilliant juxtaposition of two dressmaking styles and runway shows, I got my eyes and heart set on Eymeric Francois.
His work aims at defining sensuality and underlining the silhouette of a woman. A dash of glamour and a spirit of danger were the ideas behind his haute couture collection presented. As sexy models strut down the runway to goth music and orchestra, his almost entirely black collection defines his eclecticism and amazing creativity.
Many of his dresses were completely made out of intricate lace and yards of ribbon.
My favourite couturist of the year, Eymeric Francois, brought the H and C in Haute Couture.
