Yeah I know right...

This is especially true in the higher-scale dept stores in the US like in Bergdorf, Saks or Bloomingdales. They have this snotty look as if they're profiling every single person entering the door.

Even when they're helping you, they're still very snooty if they don't like what they see. I wish to tell them that I probably earn more than them -- and the fact that I'm doing the buying and that they're behind the counter should be enough reason why they should stuff their heads where the sun don't shine...

they actually give out sample if you ask from them, i tried the sample before i bought it even for the lotion. I find the cream is a bid rich and is not suitable to use in our country. And the gel is too light, so the lotion is perfect for me. I have been using it for a while.

I actually feel quite bad asking for samples from make-up counters It's as if they're judging me or something, haha!

And usually, I feel like I need to buy something from them before I can ask for samples for other stuff

I shared the same sentiments haha..but they were quite nice to me. I am not sure is it because after i bought a few items from them??? haha

yeah they are nice only after buying.. there is another brand tt i have spent A LOT of money on already but recently when i went to my usual branch it was a different girl. i was in a rush, ask for sample from their latest product and she went to check my IC number, make sure i never take before (NEW PRODUCT HELLO) and like reluctant to give me. really spoil experience one.

Sometime, i feel that actually there is nothing wrong to ask for sample, ultimately samples are meant to try, I don't see why are they so rigid about it???

I suspect these counter girls want to keep the samples for themselves? The more people take, the less they have for themselves?

Or they are 'smuggling' the samples out for sale. Haha...

Sorry, I love conspiracy theories.
