For some who dont know, LDR = Long Distance Relationship. What is your take on LDR? I guess most of us would believe that LDR will never work out. "Miraculously", I do have friends (probably only a couple) who have been in a LDR and well, things are going pretty fine. It probably takes a lot of effort (& courage) to go into one, anyone can share any experience with us here?

LDR? It's gonna be a NO-NO for me. i had a very bad experience, lots of tears, heartbreaks.. terrible. My ex was in australia and we skyped, msned most days but i have to admit it was difficult to maintain the special kind of connection.

Had 2 ldrs.... Guess what?!?!?! Both did not work out, it is very very difficult! Not to mention the longing and yearning sometimes......

In the end...... Had to give it up and ended the r/ ship ! Definitely must have the patience and the courage! Kudos to those who have worked it out!

its very difficult... u need to have alot trust in each other.

It will come to a point where you both have nothing else in common to talk about and things will start being detached.

BUT!!

It is still very possible, communication is key and must try to involve your other half in things and really listen to what he/she has to say despite you're not physically there to experience it

LDR is really difficult for couples. Both should have the determination to work your way towards making the relationship work. Faith and honesty towards each other is a big factor as both are vulnerable to temptations. Constant communication is another thing to work through in order to grow the relationship. Thanks to the latest developments, you can now talk with video and see each other while you communicate.

You need alot of effort, trust & determination to make any LDR work.

Yea... it is very difficult More often than not, insecurities sets in and distance makes nothing better.

Besides the awesome invention of webcam, I think Whatsapp, Facetime, Viber and other various free chatting tools which are as good as instant smses/voice calls or video calls MAKE communication a lot easier.

One thing that the BF and I (who are in a LDR ) recently started doing is to have movie dates together where we agree on a movie and we download and then watch at the same time. He on his laptop and me on mine with the web cam on.

i have tried it.. felt really insecure. We used calling cards to call each other back then.
it's tough! Definitely a test of trust.

But again, nowadays the technology is so gd. can whatsapp, bbm, facetime, skype etc...
If i have a choice, i won't try LDR again

I can nv do a LDR. Guess i love being a sticky gf some times , hehe.
