Interesting... Are you learning it?
It seems to me like its more popular among the elderly here in Singapore thou. I just saw it at my nearby CC last weekend. But it's very cool.

that's why i am curious to find out any non-elderly learning this in Singapore. You can see from the video , the leading Tai ji Fan demonstrator is a young person.

I don't understand why Tai ji is being labelled for the elderly whereas in other countries, Hong Kong, Taiwan, China, Canada, USA, many young people are learning it.

I have just finished learning the Tai Ji Sword. One Beijing lady coach me one to one for about 3 months. I wish more Singaporean girls will pick up this graceful exercise. I didn't join the elderly group in the CCs cos feel very odd one out. It's can be quite lonely. I seek out one teacher who is willing to coach me one to one.

how old is older? I wish more people start from their 16s to learn this . The earlier they learn, the easier and more flexibile the movements.

This is really not for the elderly. Only Singapore restrict it for the elderly. China, Taiwan, USA, Hong Kong start as young as 12 for this exercies.
