for those on budget, can try getting a tube of Ebene for joints, back, neck pain ointment cream ( now on offer at 10.00 watson/guardian).

It's very effective and NOT exactly very cheap but it works on easing away all the body pains. Usually mother will need this after years of housework.

I'm thinking of what to give my mom too...

that's a splendid idea. You can be creative to choose your gifts. Daiso have a lot choices and for $2 one item, you can make a huge hamper.

Incidentally, once i made my own hamper with perfumes for my friend's wedding in a fruit bowl. Elizabeth Taylor Diamonds perfume for her and Tommy Hager for him. They both love it.
