Lin Yu Chun performed Whitney’s hit song on Super Star Avenue – an X Factor style talent search where the winner gets to take home £700,000 and a record deal.
Chun stood on stage and gave an emotional performance but the most remarkable thing is he sounded exactly like the superstar herself and, unlike some of her recent performances, was absolutely pitch perfect.

He might not have the diva looks or stage presence just yet but if Susan Boyle can undergo a transformation, anyone can.
The young star is already a massive hit on Youtube and is set to be Taiwan’s answer to Ms Boyle who won over online audiences worldwide with her version of Les Miserables I Dreamed A Dream.
Now Whitney Houston has cancelled some of her European shows due to an ‘illness’, she should give them the go ahead again as with Lin Yu Chun, who needs Whitney?

Alright, little boys and girls, this whole "I look like shite but I sing like an angel" gimmick is getting old and tired okay? Let's be realistic: Even if you have the singing chops, if you look like that, it's likely you're not going to get very far in the pop music industry. Trust me on this, in the next two years nobody would even remember Susan Boyle. Anybody even remembers Paul Potts, the male Susan Boyle before Susan Boyle? I'm guessed as much.
But then again the Chinese music industry seems to be a lot more forgiving towards ugly singers (read: Lu Guang Zhong) so who knows?
