From the highly popular PC defense game, where the player uses an arsenal of plants to defend one's house from an army of zombies, comes the iPhone and iPad version of Plants vs. Zombies.
The game remains very much the same: Armed with a garden full of peashooters, melon-paults, and cherry bombs, you`ll need to think fast, and plant faster, to stop the different types of zombies dead in their tracks.
This delightful game should not be a stranger to anybody. Developed by casual game publishers PopCap, Plants vs. Zombies combines beautiful graphics, simple game concept and interesting challenges to give hours of addictive play.

For the uninitiated, the concept is simple. You use collected bits of sun as currency and buy and place various plants around the yard to stave off the influx of zombies. As you progress, your weapons of defense get more interesting, as do the zombie armies, who begin to wear better and more creative armour. You also have to deal with environmental elements such as darkness, water troughs and fog.
The iPhone application manages to pack in all 50 levels from the original game and with few minor interface changes. It's got all the cherry bombing, squash pounding, sunflower sprouting, zombie dispatching wildness of the original PC/Mac download, now in the palms of your hands. And all of that for only USD $2.99.
Be warned though, for the game is highly addictive. You might find yourself losing hours of sleep and work time after playing Plants vs. Zombies!
