January 29th, 2010 Acne Problem
This is a common trouble for all ladies and yes, I’m not happy to say that i am one of them.
Ever since Anime Festival Asia the acne problem is getting from bad to worst, what a troublesome problem!
Been trying out few medicine since then but most of them works for a month.
And the acne problem came back again, products that i try were given by doctors.
These just doesn’t work for me!
Different people different skin type, so i guess it’s might work fine with some other people.
But sadly not for me, sigh! After that i went back to my family doctor to check out what’s wrong.
And after that i ask for hormone pills from the doctor!
Not sure if it’s going to work but i got no choice but to try this.
If this doesn’t work and mommy is going to bring me for Acne Chemical Peels.
It’s going to cost a bomb so bless that this little sweetie hormone pills is going to work!
Today is my 3rd day trying it, doesn’t seems to have any effect yet!

Hormonal Pills MUST BE taken with care! They work differently when taken by individuals and you should read up on it. Please, do intake with extreme precaution, not to frighten you bbut just don’t want you to loose that petite figure due to the pills…..PLUS! The best way to cure pimples is to leave it alone, cut down on the make up and change to Baby Powder foundation instead. Thats what my friend did! Major outbreak, change to babk powder for foundation, NOT the best coverage, but like she say, I rather look unpresenatable for 1 month at most, then risk medication and procedures that may not help but make things worse! Hey Miyake!
I’m taking Doxycycline, its like a anti-botic pill prescribed from a doctor.
I have really bad occasionally acne probably like you, but it still takes time for it to cure the acne though. You won’t get to see the effect so fast.
Been taking it for like since I was in secondary 4. So its like around a year and so, I still do have breakouts, but just 1 or 2 on my face. Was advised by the nurse not to take since I have already had better skin though. And yeah! Girls want pimple free face right! Now I’m still taking, but I don’t know when I can stop. -.-
Anti-botics ain’t good for liver, but I’m not sure about hormone pills though. Hmm.

hey miyake dear, pills would usually give its full effect on your body from 1-3months. then you’ll see if the brand is right for you. some may have more acne or gain weight after the 3rd month so they would have to switch to others. i hope diane35 will work for you though.

Gosh, it’s not advisable to go to a doctor for acne problem. The most people would like to avoid is getting that hormone pills from them, it’s not good for boys because the hormone does work to alter their hormone balance and increase their female hormones. it’s not good for girl maybe because the hormones are artificial, but i’m not entirely sure. but definitely tat hormones and medication from doctor are bad! it works temporary only as well, as soon u stop taking, the acne is back.
Best if u can go to a professional beauty center, not all are good, depends on ur luck. buy some really expensive product from paris, or any reliable countries. it will work.

I have been having trouble with acne too. :/ It sucks because I have it worst around my chin and they say that is caused by hormones. So I am very interested in how your hormone pills work. (Even though our skin is different and I wouldn’t have those same type of pills probably.) But do you get acne in the same area?
I have tried over the counter Salicylic acne cleansers and the like and they don’t really seem to help.
I went to a derm and he perscirbed me with a retinoid called Tazotrac which is very powerful and often has painful and ugly side effects and purging before it starts to work. So I’ve been too chicken to try it lol! I am using it as a last resort if nothing else works…

Does your eyebrow pencil’s brush have any colour pigment on it when you use it to blend your eyebrows out? or is it just a normal plain brush?

Hey, i am eating hormone pills too! I am eating the red one from Loke Skin Clinics. ^^ It works really well, they reduce the amount you are eating slowly.

can try roaccutane. im on it now, and there’s really a drastic noticeable improvement. it’s supposed to stop acne for good.

saw ur half bun hair tutorial on dec 11th.. not relevant to this post but would like to ask u how u tie up ur hair when u have extensions? or have you grown all yr hair alr? it looks so easy.. and wont the braiding part get exposed? just curious!
remember to drink more water and sleep early! i also have acne popping out at a particular age. so irritating! must be careful of acne chemical peels! will make ur face sensitive…

Hey Miyake,
do take care of yourself, do note that taking hormone pills will caused water retention! especially on your face which is very obvious…i tried this before, and i stopped..after all, the breakout will come back again.
why don’t you try ettusais products? it works on me…. and currently they are looking for ambassador for this year!! =)

Last time u use to eat pills but after i try using coslab smoothing cream and pimple. Quite effective after the few times you use because it prevent batercia and hasten healing. The ance will disappear and prevent them from growing.

heya girls, diane 35 is not bad, it works and yes i takes some time. but i took it to control my menses flow recommended by my doctor. and just one month my menses become regular every mth now. But the doc ask me to stop cos not so good to keep taking this, it is contraceptives btw. u can try pimple gel. isotrex. now i m using that only cos doctor doesn wanna give me anything more. Wouldn recommend peeling or laser now, wait till ard 20 plus. cos our skin is still young, gd doctors will stop u from doing now cos we r still undergoing a bit of puberty, wait till the hormones are more stable cos even do now, prob will still surface.Wait till maybe a lil older and the hormones not so active. i m still waiting too

my skin was like smooth before november and once immediately after my prom, VOOM ! everything just appears and i got back to anti biotics and they just don’t seem to work anymore. Anyway I had tried diane-35 before and to be frank, you can’t see the result for the first few months. Anyway, you’ll get bigger boobs with that . =x

I used to have acne for almost one yr, it come to worst during the month that’s super hot. I went take a.referral from ployclinic to national skin center. I waited for almost 1 1/2 months. .they give me anti biotic, facial wash and cream for morn and night time. The result is super fast ..and I bet if u get a referral more cheaper, the amt I paid for each time is less than $80 and they discharge me aft my third time of follow up…it been abt 4 yrs and I dint have any outbreak aft seeing them…skin conditions much more better

I have been taking BCP [Birth Control Pills] i guess hormone pills as you like to call it for about a year and 11 months and i think its totally worth it i had really bad acne it was all over my cheeks and fore head it was bad you can see redness and little bumps. I couldn’t stand it, so i try so many prescription medications from my doctor and it still didn’t work over the counters one too, all kinds of acne medication until my doctor decided to put me on BCP and told me to try it for 3 whole months to see how it was going to work out. After 3 whole months it really works plus you have to clean your face regular like you would. To add, if you miss one pill always remember to take it ASAP so it works the sooner the better. There are all different kind of BCP/hormone pills that many other people are taking but what ever one your taking i hope it works well with you. I’m taking the Watson one it has a green hard cover its an American Brand i guess you can say that. But trust me its worth it. I use to have severe acne i mean it would hurt but never left until i took BCP, now my skin is clearing better than before. It’s not perfect but getting there i can see a major different with the before and after math of my face. I hope my in-put about sticking with it would help you see the different what it can do for you. By the way your gorgeous no matter what.

To add, it has side effect but i haven’t seen any of it only you would feel nauseated for a little wild but it goes away. But again its worth it! If, it doesn’t work for you, you can always try Acetone pills…but that has bad side effect when you planning on having a child later in life whenever that is the child comes out deform. My teacher told me that because she use to have severe acne too and was on that Acetone pills and started to have a very nice skin better than before but the side effects effected her child. It was sad but she said she didn’t know about the side effect at the time of taking it.

oh gosh. ive got acne problem since puberty too. not super serious. and usually on the forehead since ive bangs. diane-35’s a contraceptive piils. alot of side effects. as mild as weight gain and hair loss. as serious as breast cancer and heart diseases. anti-biotics and medical facial wash may not work for everyone. like me, ive been having acnes for years(usually 3/4 at a time or more.) just take care of it well, sleep well, drink loads of water and prevent heaty and spicy food.

Hi dear I oso went to the doctor to have my acne cure and he gave me diane too. I have been taking it for 2 years n I can sae its really effective and it will give ur face a readiant after 1 mth plus. In between I start to use BB cream n my acne problem came back a little and my doctor told me tat BB cream is aactualli not good for the skin as it is too “nourishing” for the skin. So after I stop using BB cream, my face went back to normal. so I tin u can stop using ur BB cream and see whether ur face will be better. =)

hey babe, i had very bad breakout after stopping doxyciline.
Tried tis regimen one day and I never have a serious outbreak ever since, maybe only occasional one pimple. . - http://www.acne.org/
Just need neutrogena on the spot pimple cream, cetaphil cleanser and cetaphil moisturiser.
However, it takes 2 months to take effect. The regimen purges out all the toxins , so one will look very ugly for 2 months .
The best thing is… the products r very cheap, will not burn a hole in the pocket !

its better if u let ur face relax without make up blocking it to “breathe”. it might be because u didnt remove properly ur make up that still allows the old make up staining and cloating up ur pores.

anyway a couple of years back i had acne problem too and i went to see a doc located at orchard plaza call touchskin. their med is really good, however expensive. been going there for i think at least 3 years. it works. its at level 6.

Diane 35 quite strong.. if ur face nt very jialat, dun take this cos if not next time when ur fae has more, it doesnt work.
Should go polyclinic first take the mild one first.
If it does den go for roacctuane..=)
Dun str go for diane 35 nt good.
Nt sure diane 35 works in which well, but must drink alot of water in case lip cracks =)

Diane35 is famous for being a weight gainer. DO NOT take unless you plan to gain some weight. Yasmin is a much, much better formulation. And lots of Diane35 users have reported a substantial increase in depressive thoughts. Seriously, change it to Yasmin the next time round.
Plus you should really try retin-a; it is awesome. Start with a low formulation like 0.025 and change it to 0.05 after a month. Use a mild cleanser and skip scrubbing all together (because retin-a is already a skin renewal; any scrubbing will result in rawness). Load on a non-comedogenic strong sun-screen during the day.
Your skin might get a little worse before it gets better because it is basically forcing new skin to resurface so any problematic skin in the current cycle will have to be ridden off before the new cycle begins. Once the old layers of problematic skin have been ridden, your new skin should have less issues.
