Outfits of the Week: Different styles of me?

posted by:

Everyday I try on a new hat. First I tried to be a travel blogger then a beauty blogger and now… we have FASHION!

I prefer fashion really, but only because I love clothes. If I had the figure, I would wear just about EVERYTHING! Sadly, I don’t, so I’m limited to what I can fit into.

Before I start my shameless camwhoring, please note that it’s not exactly a day-by-day account of what I wore throughout the week. Most of the content are made up for the sake of having words accompany the images.

I assure you, in the future, I’ll put in more effort to make my wardrobe showcase more current and relevant. But as of now… let’s or rather I shall work with what I have. (I’m in need of a photographer that I don’t feel uncomfortable in front of.)

MONDAY

Everyday of the week is similar to me. My schedule isn’t exactly 9 to 5. But flexibility comes with a cost and sometimes this cost is more than one would like to bear.

That said, for now, I’m very much enjoying my work. Well… more or less.

So to start of the week, we have pants that looks like a skirt from THEBLOGSHOP, singlet from Topshop, and a little jacket that puffs up your shoulders from WhoThatGurl.

Photo taken on November 03, 2010.

Admittedly, this isn’t exactly the perfect mix and match, but it’s comfortable and covers the bruises from my yet recovered liposuction-ed thighs. Hurhur.

TUESDAY

Wouldn’t it be great to just take the next day off after one day of work and go for brunch?

Photo taken on November 13, 2010.

Well, too bad folks, not this time.

It’s kinda the type of dress (maxis with a big straw flower hat, basically) I would wear for brunch at Riders Cafe, but then again the material is kinda off.

I have a thing for maxi dresses and THEBLOGSHOP happens to have a million of them, most to my liking! The red bag you see is also from THEBLOGSHOP – love the vibrant colour and the contrast it has to my outfit.

I can’t remember why I dressed the way I did, but I remember that I met Priss (I kinda have a photo taken with her) and the bear was with me (cause someone had taken the photo and I know it can’t be a random stranger).

WEDNESDAY

Mid-weeks are the best and it’s kinda when you start the countdown.

Photo taken on November 14, 2010.

Completely unlinked to the day (Wednesday) itself… I love the way the dress is simple yet complicatedly crossed all over.

I saw a photo of it, a shorter version that is, pinned on the board at THEBLOGSHOP (where I got the dress from) and fell in love with it instantly. Sadly, this dress doesn’t flatter me, but I’m still gonna wear it anyway.

The bear is Babybear, in case you’re wondering. You can get your own Babybear or whatever you want to call it at Build-A-Bear Workshop! There’s one in HarbourFront Centre.

THURSDAY

Call it the sexy Thursday if you may. If not mistaken, some clubs/pubs actually have their ladies night on Thursdays! That said, this isn’t why I wore this dress.

Photo taken on November 20, 2010.

You probably can’t tell how sexy the dress is unless I turn around. But too bad, I don’t have a photos with my back facing the camera.

I got this sexy dress from Ramwithroses a long long time ago.

FRIDAY

Cutoe-ness is a sin. And Fridays are usually quite sinful. Why? On Fridays, because it is the end of the week, folks like us (working adults so to speak) would hang out, go for dinner, have drinks, etc. Basically an attempt to put on weight and using the excuse of relaxation.

Photo taken on November 18, 2010.

Utterly irrelevant, since I went for cutoe-ness sin instead of fatoe-ness one.

The cat-ears hairband was bought at the Anime Festival Asia 2010 held at Suntec, the necklace is from MYnt Shop, and the dress and bag are from THEBLOGSHOP.

The cat-ears hairband goes so much better with the dress as compared to the bag if you ask me.

Royalty onboard the Royal Caribbean

posted by:

I never fancied rushing to complete a blog entry, especially when it involves posting of numerous photos that required a heavy dose of editing. It’s not just colour correction we’re talking about here, there’s sharpening, Liquify, framing, Lomo effect, etc. It’s a lot of work and I have a certain standard I hope to achieve. The sad truth however, is that I’ve never really managed to achieve these supposed standards. Usually halfway through the process, I get tired of editing and decide to just get over and done with it - this is why I am usually not keen in creative entries competition.

That said, despite the tight time-frame given, and the huge amount of workload (at work) I’m juggling to manage, for the sake of my dear best friend Priss that has put in a lot of effort to complete her entry (and hopefully win the trip), I shall do my best (even though my best meant rushing it on a Wednesday evening when the deadline is Thursday morning)!

Royalty onboard the Royal Caribbean

Note: In this story and almost every other story I come up with, I’m the Princess and you all are… basically unimportant characters that played a part to make the story a little more interesting. And please, don’t hate me for my fantasy.

Before I start my fairytale, I’d like to take this opportunity to thank Alvin (who bothers to entertain me despite my sometimes ridiculous questions), everyone else from Omy.sg, as well as the good folks at Royal Caribbean. Without them (and me, thy royal Princess), this entry would not be possible.

It has been years since the last royal voyage, and I’ve longed to go onboard another. Hopefully this time, I would have more pleasant servants that doesn’t keep nagging me for every little detail. I was young when I first went out to sea, my nanny wouldn’t let me out of her sight and constantly made sure my pink fluffy dress, that wasn’t all that fluffy, wouldn’t cause me to fall overboard when a strong win blows. She wasn’t all that smart if you ask me. I wasn’t at all a petite little thing. No wind could have had that much strength to blow me overboard.

When Sir Alvin sent the invitation to tour a ship from the Royal Caribbean, I was delighted! Quickly I forwarded it to my girlfriends, hoping that all of us could go together. Fortunately for us, not all but most of us got the confirmation and all was set in digital writing – a phone call first then in digital writing to be more specific.

Sleepwear from Les Affaires.

Despite the exhaustion from the weekend before – our very first girls’ staycation that involved a night partying at Zirca – I managed to drag myself out of bed, swiftly got ready, exited my chambers and excitedly got out of the palace. Before me, just outside my doorstep, stood the white carriage with my best friend in it! She was there to pick me up and together we were on our way!

She was late no doubt, but I expected nothing less. Mornings has never really been death’s good friend (Priss is known infamously as deadrose during our younger days, therefore she is the supposed “death” in the sentence).

As we arrived at the port this bright and sunny Monday morning of November 22nd, from afar we could already see the rest of the girls waiting patiently. There were many “others” that I’ve never met before, gathered as well. A total of I-don’t-know-how-many-of-us, I’m guessing 40.

This was like no other ship I’ve boarded before. The Legend of the Seas, which is under the Royal Caribbean, weighed a total of 70,000 tonnes and could house up to 2,074 passengers. It wasn’t the largest ship of them all but large enough for just the six of us.

Left to right: Jacelyn, Nadia, Clara, Feliza, ME and Priss

I’ve never been a patient girl, but together with good friends, patience has became a virtue of mine, or so it seemed. Despite struggling with a huge bag filled with gadgets and “stuff”, I managed to pleasantly and patiently wait as they took their own sweet time to verify our IDs and issue our passes. It didn’t feel much like royalty there and then. In fact, it felt more like we were second class citizens. But then again, if you look at it in another perceptive, if they were not strict about their checks, any Tom, Dick and Harry would be allowed onboard. And we wouldn’t want that.

Once onboard (finally), we were taken on a tour, a very fast-paced one if I may add.

With no shops open and no time to shop, withholding my tears, we entered and exited the “shopping mall” within minutes. If anchors were rise and ship set to sea, the shops would have been open and passengers would be able to enjoy Duty Free shopping at the Boutiques of Centrum (the “shopping mall” of this ship) located on level 5, near the Anchors Aweigh Lounge.

Come to think of it, there are really that many lounges/bars in this majestic place. So much so that most of which, apart from Anchors Aweigh Lounge, I can’t even recall any part of its name – maybe the word “lounge” was within it but I can’t be sure.

If not for photos, I’d probably not even remember the interior design of the place except that they are all lovely, much fitted for a member of the royal blood.

Every Princess needs to learn an instrument. I’ve learnt many and it just so happens that the piano is one of my best.

That said, I’d still rather leave it to the professions for public entertainment. I mean, I am a Princess after all. It only makes sense that I’m being entertained instead of entertaining, no?

The place was magnificent. It felt like I had return to my “castle on a cloud” (Les Miserables) except it was on sea and not air. Then again, this kinda just resembled Pan Pacific Hotel if you ask me.

Yes, there is such a thing called the Entertainment room, or rather That’s Entertainment Theatre.

It’s basically like a theater (huge one) with countless seats (or at least I didn’t bother to count), with daily live performances.

There’s a casino too, the Casino Royale, but we won’t allowed any photography there.

There were many decks on this ship, 11th happened to be the highest, if not mistaken.

Where we stood, we could see the open pool.

A beautiful sight it was. Many, myself included, couldn’t resist but snapped away with our cameras.

And for those that had not brought their camera, probably just Lady Priscilla, they probably used their phones (camera phones these days are really powerful).

Before long we were on deck 10, where the open pool was at, experiencing the rays for scorching sun. It is advised to use sunblock if you intend to go for a swim at noon when the ship is docked in Singapore. That said, if the sun is shining brightly, regardless where you are, and you intend to maintain skin as fair as mine, you should still put on sunblock. Black may always be in fashion, but burnt skin is definitely not.

If you’re up for a little rock climbing, fear not! This ship is equipped with just about EVERYTHING you can imagine. Even an artificial wall for those who were up for a challenge (which is definitely not me)!

And…

A mini-golf course!

With no servants around, I had all but my hands to help block the sunlight from my eyes. The sun was just too much, and I had not packed well for the outdoors, not today at least.

What’s for lunch you ask? (No answer yet.)

Hungry, we were lead through a buffet lounge or restaurant, whichever you prefer to call it. However, what was before us was not for us to eat, and we were constantly reminded of it. But as the Princess, member of the royal family, I couldn’t care the least. I reached out, grabbed what resembled a biscuit and fed my dear friend who was starting to get a little grouchy.

It was also mentioned that the food at the buffet table would be replaced constantly.

Still wondering about lunch? (Still waiting.)

As we continued our tour we were lead to the indoor pool with a jacuzzi beside it!

Tired, Lady Priscilla and myself could no longer walk and seated ourselves at one of the “sunbathing chairs” (or whatever you call it).

Before we knew it, we were off again. This time to where most ladies would consider, paradise, the Beauty Centre!

Would you not agree that a spa is perhaps second best to shopping?

You could also get some workout done if you wanted to. The gym equipment were pretty well facilitated.

While some hopped on the track-mail, I made my way to the endless mirrors and started camwhoring like what camwhore women like myself was meant to.

Eventually, more took my cue and joined in the fun. Lady Feliza looked gorgeous, even in reflections.

Before I continue, here my outfit for this voyage!

The top is from THEBLOGSHOP, necklace from MYnt Shop, bracelets from Forever 21, earrings from Bangkok (my sister bought them from Bangkok, I think), Domke camera bag, shorts and boots from Bugis Street.

Next, we explored the chambers.

The family suite was amazing but still second to The Royal Suite.

If you think about it, royal by blood, this suite is like customised-made just for me. Even its name hold my signature.

Finally, before people started fainting, lunch was served at the Romeo & Juliet Dining Room, located at one end of deck 4. I’m familiar with Shakespeare and even more so with Romeo × Juliet (ロミオ×ジュリエット, Romio to Jurietto), a TV anime series that is loosely based on William Shakespeare’s classic play, Romeo and Juliet.

It was mentioned that many would dress up and dine at this restaurant. Hearing that my eyes somewhat lilted up. I was a sucker for gowns and all-else-pretty.

Images of me in an expensive and very much beautiful gown walking down the stairs, flash before my eyes.

And I’m guessing that Lady Feliza and Lady Clara felt the same.

Seated at our table, we were first served bread, then appetizer.

For appetizer we could choose between the Asian Style Chicken Soup or the Shrimp Cocktail Royal. I opted for soup but forgot to take a photo of it. We also had a choice of wine, either red or white. And like most of my lady companions, I went for white.

For the main course, Lady Priscilla had the Chef’s Halibut, which is boiled fillet presented with Spanish soffrito and truffle scented polenta.

There are another two main course, the Shrimp Ravioli and the Lamb Shank with Rosemary, I had lamb shank.

Ending the meal, we were served dessert, the Ivory Chocolate Fondue, which comes with sweet berries in white chocolate mousse.

The half-day tour around the Legend of the Seas assured me that this was fit for royalty. They should be honoured to have graced my royal presence and I for their hospitality.

Note: For more details on the Legend of the Seas, check out royalcaribbean-asia.com!

PS: Lady Priscilla had to leave a little earlier. Lady Nadia, Lady Jacelyn and myself then headed to Tiong Bahru Plaza for beauty needs and more desert! Hurhur.

Photos love me NOT!

posted by:

Despite all the “suffering” I went through to look physically more attractive, the results has proven that I’ve failed miserably, in photos at least. The angle of shots are still god damn important. I should be less casual when taking photos, especially when they are going to be up on Facebook.

There’s no doubt about it, I am definitely more confident and open in terms of apparel selection. For one, I am very much comfortable wearing sleeveless or even tube dresses/tops these days. In fact, I welcome it with open arms. Although my arms are still considerably huge… but at least it is significantly slimmer as compared to before. I can’t expect miracles can I? One can only hope, but reality is cruel.

Friends of mine, think hard. How often have you seem me sleeveless in the past? My dressing resembles a lost eskimo, unable to return to the Land of Ice. I kid you not. Jackets, especially thick ones, are my best friends. Or rather, “were” to be more specific.

A small step for Sab, no step for mankind. Lesser profit margins for Winter Times!

Someone has to lose out. But for this case, I’m guessing NUH has also lost out. One less dehydrated patient. Singapore’s weather isn’t exactly ideal for winter wear. I strongly advice against it. However, if you must, please consider “inspired” winter wear. The cheaper the better. Less cloth, or rather thinner cloth means lower chance of an heatstroke.

Talking about apparel…

I am in love with THEBLOGSHOP! Jacqueline and Clarence have been terribly kind and generous! Opening my soon-to-be new wardrobe, you’d probably see 8 out of 10 pieces are from them, bags too!

The selection of clothing is just never-ending. They replenish them ever so often. I go there once every two weeks and there are always enough new designs to satisfy me. Not just me but the pages in SauceINK Magazine as well! If not for their support… let’s just say, I would have gone broke at the initial stage of development. Pegs helped as well of course – her previous shop, Signify.

Before I hit the sacks, I need a name for my supposed label. I’ve drawn more than a dozen designs, but submitted none. I really can’t think of anything decent to call it. Every thought I have involved “the” and “bear bear” which really doesn’t sound right.

“The bear bear, by Sabrina Wang.”

Perhaps I should write an entry, set up a form, just to request for name submissions?

The day after Hennessy Artistry…

posted by:

“Well then,” says the bear bear. And he stops there, stares into emptiness, (probably farted) then changes the topic completely. Half the time the bear bear can’t seem to pay attention to anything other than his iPhone (playing his oh-so-fun games he downloaded) for more than a minute. He has a shorter attention span compared to Lucas who is 1-month old. But that is also the reason why, when I’m not in my impatient stance (like battle stance in Diablo II but in terms of patience/tolerance to annoyance level), I find him so very adorable. I mean seriously, where can you find a guy with such baby-like characteristics at such an matured age. It’s like pre-school all over again. Hurhur.

It’s been a long-tiring day. The Hennessy Artistry party ended at 3am and we only reached the hotel room after 4am. After washing up and packing, I crashed on the bed till morning, which was three hours later. Talk about an intensive workout routine. My personal trainer should be so proud of my enthusiasm to go that extra mile – all the way to Kuala Lumpur (KL), Malaysia.

In case you have mistaken, the plan was to wake up about three hours later, but in reality… well, I’m gonna just blame it on my BlackBerry. I think the alarm didn’t go off, but Pegs said I switched it off (still blaming my BlackBerry regardless). I ended up waking an hour late, which resulted in us missing the flight!

Just kidding. We didn’t miss the flight, but we missed the ideal timing John Langan (decently good-looking “ang-moh” chap who invited Peggy and extended it to me) suggested in his very first email sent to me. I stressed on the “very first email” cause it was rather confusing when I read it. I think I was somewhat left out of the conversation. There was apparently a mix up, which I had no idea about, and he was apologising.

So anyway, we were delayed, but was on time for the flight. In fact, we managed to grab breakfast at McDonald’s! I heart the big breakfast meal. I used to love the pancakes, but after all that brunch-ing, my expectations of good pancakes went up and McDonald’s just don’t make the cut.

*Cute blue-eyes guy alert!*

I think he had blue eyes, but I didn’t take a good look. It was rude to stare at someone and drool. I was telling Pegs that it would be awesome if he was seated next to us… well that didn’t happen. What did happen was… after alighting from the plane, Pegs and I were on the “moving floor thingie”… when reaching the end… I almost fell. I was talking to Pegs and we both weren’t paying attention. The embarrassing part was that he (cute blue-eyes guy, clearly “ang-moh”) saw the whole incident! (I probably turned into a lobster.) The amazing part was that he started talking to us! (Started screaming in my head.)

I was guessing he was from Germany. He didn’t look or sound American.

If I hadn’t felt sooo embarrassed I would have probably jumped at the opportunity to talk to someone that cute. Sadly, I wasn’t able to pull myself together and ended up keeping as quiet as I was throughout the whole Hennessy Artistry party. That said, there’s a high chance I was dumbfounded because he was just sooo cute, I couldn’t help but scream in my head so loud I couldn’t think of anything not retarded to say.

He and his friend were from Argentina, they’ll be in Singapore for two days and thereafter head to Hong Kong. In other words, that brief encounter is probably our last in this lifetime. I missed every opportunity to grab his contact details, even his name. Although we have Facebook, which connects people from all around the world, I doubt I’d be able to find someone whom I have no name to search with.

In case you’re wondering, yes, I told bear bear about the blue-eyes guy. I even urged him to go find him and get his number for me. Hurhur. I’m not kidding.

Moving along, we had to leave Pegs (before her boyfriend arrived) and rush off for Lucas’s birthday. I can’t have the whole Rodriguez family wait for one late-coming-Roy, right? Pegs totally understood, I hope (present cause I’m still hoping).

The weather was horrible and I blame it on the monsoon season and Sumatra’s smoking. That said, I am not going into a debate of who’s right or wrong here. I’ll leave that to Priss, it’s her type of topic.

Note: I stopped writing the entry here on Sunday. And continued writing it “early in the morning” on Wednesday.

We were stuck in a jam, though I vaguely remember how bad it was, therefore it couldn’t be that bad. What I do remember is that, we were somewhat late, but not late till the extent people were making noise about it. The bear tends to become a little annoying when I cause him to be too late for a family thingie. I can’t help it if the flight couldn’t be any earlier, Sumatra is smoking us and the weather sucked, right?

The bear reads what I’m writing.
The bear starts using a pen to write on my hand.
*Bish* I had to punch the bear so he would BACK OFF!
The bear starts whining about someone punching him.
The bear refers to me as a third person.
The bear is somewhat weird.
I continued writing my entry.
I am ignoring the bear’s childishness.
The bear is flying off to China in a couple of hours.
I will miss the bear.
Teddybear, bear bear and the bear are the same bear.

To be absolutely honest, the food at Imperial Treasure Super Peking Duck (Paragon) was moderate. There wasn’t much to complain about but… Mama and Papa Rod was totally over glorifying the dishes. It really wasn’t all that fantastic, especially if you take into consideration the price.

Let’s be honest here, if you paid for 100 bucks meal (not that it’s only 100 bucks) you expect a 100 bucks quality at the very least. If they give you 120 bucks quality, fine, a little compliment should be thrown at the chef/restaurant. Glorification should only be given, considering that this is Singapore and the restaurant is situated in Paragon, if 150 bucks quality is received. Much less talk about over glorifying. (I’m making this sound more complicated and long-winded than it should be.)

(Sidetrack) Thank god I didn’t buy the toddler clothing I saw in KL. I would be totally upset when it gets thrown back at my face. Apparently, older bro Rod and Germ is kinda particular about what is worn by Skywalker (Luke, Lucas… what’s the difference). I think I’m gonna call my son Darth Vader or maybe Milan? My daughter is sooo gonna be a Paris! If I even have kids that is.

We moved Little Red (Xiaohong) from Paragon and was supposed to park her at Triple One, as usual. However, seconds before turning into the car park, I had a change of heart. I was keen to watch “You Again!” but not quite awake enough to sit through a movie. Seriously, four hours is less than half the right amount of beauty sleep needed.

As not to waste the remaining half a day of the weekend, we went shopping for shoes! I totally needed shoes. A girl can never have too many shoes, bags, clothes and everything else. I would have sang a different tune in the past, but it’s a whole new me. One that isn’t trying to balloon up and pretend to have memory loss. Who does that? Oh wait, I remember now. I totally hold a grudge.

So anyway, I would shop Paragon for bags and wallets… but shoes… I tend to ruin my shoes after a couple of wears. It really made no sense for me to buy a good pair of shoes until I learn to walk properly (not that I have an actual walking issue).

I ended up buying a couple of belts, this earrings hanger doll thingie, a bag (it was SGD10, I couldn’t help myself), and two pairs of shoes. They were awesome shoes. I only buy awesome stuff and wear The Blog Shop (plugged!).

I think Isabelle is a major influence to why I am not keen to buy branded clothing. She mentioned that she would spend on a branded bag because it is leather but not on branded clothing because it is cloth. It made a lot of sense really. I love all the fabulous designers out there and I totally believe in authenticity, but cloth is cloth. It’s not like anyone is gonna figure out that I’m wearing Prada as I walk the streets, in Singapore at least. And if anyone (that I don’t know) actually comes to me and touches my dress to “feel the material” I’d probably scream and give he/she a tight slap. (I’m totally going out of point here.)

We went home and had KFC for dinner! The bear went to watch football (Liverpool was playing) and I… wrote this entry.

PS: This was supposed to be written and published on Sunday but… I never managed to finish it. So yes, it’s late by two (or rather three) days.

Outfits of the Week (before): Pieces of THEBLOGSHOP

posted by:

And yes, I got my MacBook Pro back. But no, I didn’t manage to recover the lost data, boohoo. Oh well, let’s start over…

October 2nd, 2010

The photo above was taken at THEBLOGSHOP. It’s a convertible dress. I don’t really know how to explain it but it somewhat felt like love at first sight. I usually don’t try on dress then take photos… Isabelle made me do it, encouraged by Clarance.

Isabelle picked most of the pieces really.

By the way, if you’re a “fan” of my Facebook Page you’d probably have seen the photo already. It’s on Twitter as well. And yes, you should “like” my Facebook Page and “follow me” on Twitter. Hurhur.

Anyway, for the whole of this week, I’ve been trying to post out outfits on my Facebook Page but the app is a little screwed and my iPad was no help with uploading anything at all.

Someone should really urge Mark Zuckerberg about the urgency of having a proper working Facebook iPad app. The third-party ones are really premature and having to use the iPhone version on iPad is just unbearable.

Coming back, I’m totally in love with black lately. I’m always in black. I have this impression that it looks more professional… well, it does but black is still just a colour after all.

October 4th, 2010

This is one of my better liked piece (mainly for work), also from THEBLOGSHOP. In fact, every piece you see here is probably from THEBLOGSHOP and at most paired with some other brand that I won’t be mentioned cause I probably don’t remember.

October 3rd, 2010

The above was taken at The Cathey’s Starbucks. And yes, even the bag is from THEBLOGSHOP.

October 3rd, 2010

And yes, I changed two outfits in one day. The above is what I wore to meet the girls for dinner at Robinson Quay. The maxi dress and bag are from THEBLOGSHOP, shoes were bought in Taiwan (my sis bought them for me).

October 7th, 2010

My birthday outfit! Not exactly the party dress, but it works for someone that has to go to work on her birthday. Hurhur. This is my favourite top, for now at least. The blouse is just sooo comfortable and the design is simple yet… presentable. You can match it with a skirt or pants, both works perfectly.

Let me reinstall my Adobe Creative Suite 5, Photoshop this week (or rather last by the time I upload it) and then upload another “Outfit of the (last) Week” also pieces from THEBLOGSHOP.

Loving the weekend!

For one, I managed to wake up early and go for an interview that I never expected that I’d ever go for. In fact, I remember telling the bear NOT TO apply because of so and so reason. So yeah, people change.

So anyway, here are the following events (not in order):

1. Collected the Copen (I’m hating it already)
2. Took profiles photos at Jason’s for my interview
3. Went for the “interview”
4. Went for brunch at Illuma (which was horrible)
5. Went to Haji Lane (THEBLOGSHOP) for discussion – in relation to SauceINK and Taggo
6. Went for dinner at Somerset 313 with the Rodriguez (which includes the bear)
7. Two sessions of DotA “training” – once on Saturday the other on Sunday (learned how to play Medusa)

That’s all I can remember for now. I’ll elaborate more when I find the time…

SauceINK September Issue 2010!

posted by:

After months of stalling and taking a second look at the whole project, SauceINK Magazine (digital) has finally released its latest issue – the September issue!

SauceINK Magazine: September 2010, 3rd issue

Incomparable to Vogue no doubt, comparing to the previous issues (I think) we’ve successfully improved the look and feel of the layout (given my limited InDesign knowledge). Plus, the links within the pages are now clickable (the previous two issues were created in Photoshop, there wasn’t an “Interactive” option if you know what I mean) and trackable!

If you’ve read the “Letter from the Editor” (page 6) you’d have figured out that my favourite piece (as in featured article) is The Maxi Dress. It’s not entirely because of how it was written but being surrounded with a total of 15 maxi dresses from THEBLOGSHOP and a few that I picked up for Princessa’s Wardrobe (did not credit myself since my blogshop isn’t exactly up and running yet, or ever if this continues).

There are always ups and downs when working with different people. The ups is the experience, the downs… usually irritation and disappointment. The best partner to work with this issue is THEBLOGSHOP. Jacqueline is by far the most flexible, easy-going and efficient.

The thing about editorial features is that… well, there’s no monetary exchange. The same goes for interviews and such. But despite this understanding, some vendors tend to be more demanding than others. I’m not gonna elaborate.

Through and through, this has been an awesome ride and one that I look forward to continuing. More giveaways coming up!

So, to all my dear readers, do stay tuned!
