Disney on Ice: “Princess Wishes”!

Monday, March 30th, 2009

Disney on Ice: “Princess Wishes”!

I booked the best seats as a reward for my baby sister due to the excellent results in her tests, as well as part of her upcoming Bday gift!

 [IMG_2621[5].jpg]

IMG_2727

Aint my princess totally adorable and doesn’t she just further adorn the magnificently dreamy castle?

IMG_2734

The star of our hearts:

 IMG_2728 IMG_2729

 IMG_2733

And let this fantasy of all children begin:

The all time favorite cartoon characters: Minnie and Mickey, as the hosts!

IMG_2795

First up; Aladin and his maiden, Jasmine!

“I can open your eyes
Take you wonder by wonder
Over, sideways and under
On a magic carpet ride

A whole new world
A dazzling place I never knew
But when I’m way up here
It’s crystal clear
That now I’m in a whole new world with you”

IMG_2637IMG_2636

 IMG_2644 IMG_2643

IMG_2646

And out trolled the cute seven little dwarves!

 IMG_2658

IMG_2663

&nb
sp;

Of course the main leads for the fairy tale: “Snow white”

IMG_2668

Skating out in queue was Beauty and the Beast!!!

IMG_2676

IMG_2677

 IMG_2678

This sweet little angel was just attentive throughout the show:

IMG_2690

Appearance of the little mermaid!

IMG_2696

This little fishy that trails around her at all time is just SOOOOOO CUTEEEEE!

 IMG_2700

IMG_2702

Two very fortunate kids were invited for a little tour around in this “boat”

as the performance continues, surrounding them both:

 IMG_2706

IMG_2708

 IMG_2709

 IMG_2711

IMG_2747

IMG_2749

For god knows what reason, Mulan’s actually involved in this “Princess Wishes” Play.

Whoever wished to be Mulan when they were a kid?! You?

IMG_2752

IMG_2754

Back to the topic of Princesses.

That’s right, here’s sleeping beauty for you!

IMG_2760

IMG_2766

Her prince/knight killed the witch

(who evolved into the dragon as shown in the below image):

IMG_2768

And revived her after a kiss!

IMG_2771

Finally, my favorite and highlight of the entire musical concert:

Cinderella! Of course! Who else?!

But her gown really isn’t as elegant as it should have been!

 IMG_2785

 IMG_2784

-Stay tuned to this space for the upload of the video:

“Cinderella’s Fairy Tale”-

Final ending with all the different leads from the many tales:

IMG_2790

It reminds me of my childhood times,

when my parents brought both me and Winnie to Disney on ice too!

One difference between us,

Joey’s able to appreciate the show way better than we did in the past. Damn.

JJ’s Concert

Sunday, March 29th, 2009

JJ World Tour 2009; first station in SG!

image

I actually spent earth hour at JJ’s concert.

As you can see, lots of electricty usage was involved still. Hahahaha.

You cant expect a concert without all the lightings and sound system right?

But we did actually had 1 minute of darkness as a significaton of the day! (:

IMG_3212

JJ with his little babies that he’s self created!

He asked: “Which 1 do you prefer?”

Then he said: “Actually, they all look the same!”

Lame or what. Haha

And these big mascots were such entertainers.

They kept bumping and hitting one another cause they are so well cushioned.

I doubt it might even hurt; should they roll off the stage.

IMG_3217

Then came BY2 (originated from SG too), one of the invited guests to grace his concert.

This pair of talented twins took over the stage and rocked it off with their dance moves!

IMG_3254

IMG_3255

Impersonating Michael Jackson:

The classic “BEAT IT”!!!!

They’re Out To Get You, Better Leave While You Can
Don’t Wanna Be A Boy, You Wanna Be A Man
You Wanna Stay Alive, Better Do What You Can
So Beat It, Just Beat It

He even did the moonwalk! O.o

IMG_3283

IMG_3288

Once he’s done with posing as the king of pop,

he went on to mimic Jacky Cheung!

Singing cantonese song for his HK fans.

IMG_3297

And viola! A special appearance…

IMG_3302

And it’s čŒƒē‘‹ēŖ!!!!

Singing the song that justifies her relationship: 黑ē™½é…

IMG_3308

JJ lost the game and had to give her a kiss! (Though the rule was suggested by himself)

They also sang my all time KTV must hit: äø€å€‹åƒå¤å¤© äø€å€‹åƒē§‹å¤©!

IMG_3303

Finally, a goodbye hug before she proceeds

with this fantastic song: čŒƒčŒƒä¹‹č¼©

Me and Winnie pr
olly screamed the loudest for her!

 IMG_3312

Then out came the teacher that groomed JJ, if i didn’t get it wrong.

Both donned in the shades of our national flag, coincidental or not.

He then leaded us along to sing a birthday song for the bday boy!

I forgot to mention, it’s JJ’s 28th birthday on this very day!

  IMG_3316

And the following is his birthday present from the director:

The entire “ꞗ” Family’s performance! Cool or what?!

His mum’s playing 琵琶, while the dad’s instrument was 二胔.

Both JJ and the brother play the piano!

IMG_3324

If only, I could bring upon such glory to my family as well.

IMG_3338

As it was his birthday, he decided to give out presents to his fans.

They were hidden under the chairs but not beneath mine :(

One of the lucky fan was also invited onto the stage to sing along with him:

IMG_3350

IMG_3351

IMG_3349

Final performance:

IMG_3360

IMG_3368

IMG_3374

The fireworks rounded up this phenomenal music concert!

IMG_3366

Not exactly supporters but definitely fans of music:

Thanks to my Co. for the sponsor and for making this happen!

We were certainly on the top of our lungs when the co. was mentioned =P

BKK Trip Final Episode

Sunday, March 22nd, 2009

BKK Trip’s Final Episode

As expected, a whole pool of accurate answers on the lunch location!

It’s indeed Baiyoke Hotel!

On level 77, Observation deck and Sky buffet restaurant.

IMG_1910

A little walkabout around the observation deck after lunch:

IMG_1891

 IMG_1892

IMG_1893

 IMG_1898

 IMG_1902

I think I’ve achieved the touristy feel! Hahahaha.

I look like a damn downtown bumpkin please!

IMG_1904

 IMG_1905

To the highest level, storey 83!

Sky walk and Roof Top; not for the faint hearted.

IMG_1923

IMG_1913

  IMG_1916

 IMG_1920

And guess what, the 360 degrees revolving roof deck was meant to be MANUAL.

Literally, we had to take the walk ourselves to complete the 360 deg.

It doesn’t move a single bit at all. Zzzzz.

Spell D-I-S-A-P-P-O-I-N-T-M-E-N-T.

But nevertheless, the sight was spectacular! Minus those fencing.

Too bad if you thought you could jump off

from the highest storey of the tallest hotel in Bangkok. LOL!

IMG_1914

Of course, what’s a trip to Bangkok

without an experience of the traditional Thai Massage?!

 IMG_1925

Cosy set up of the massage rooms:

And BF, what’s up with that ballet pose? Hahahaha.

IMG_1926

After which, we had to change into some pajamas like apparels

before we were ready for the massage.

No pictures of the pajamas. It’s blue in color and obviously not pretty.

Massage was awesome for 250 Baht at ā€œLek Foot Massage Spa treatmentā€.

It’s situated at Siam Square Soi 6.

One of the more reliable outlet with really affordable pricing.

As we were running out of time, we only went for the 1 hr massage :(

 IMG_1927

Time is too short for everything.

IMG_1929

One moment I’m shopping my hearts out

and now I’m back stressing/slaving myself off everyday.

BKK Trip Final Episode!

BKK Trip Part III!

***I know I was supposed to blog about the entire BKK Trip’s Final Episode,

but work’s a bitch and it has easily killed half of my brain cells today.

So I’ve decided to take the Final episodes into two more parts.

Will only complete 1 part today, so please bear with me (:

I’m loving this dress! I like how it seems to shout ā€œAmazing Thailandā€!

IMG_1830

IMG_1831

IMG_1847 IMG_1850

 IMG_1857

IMG_1860

 IMG_1865

IMG_1868 IMG_1871

Hopped on to the tuk tuk for the taste of excitement!

It’s a complimentary shuttle service provided by Mariott to the BTS station.

Sweet or what? I was paranoid about riding on a tuk tuk on the busy road.

But I guess a short route to the station should be fine!

And indeed, at least I’m still very much alive and kicking and blogging now!

IMG_1872

After which, we switched our transport to the train and off we went,

on our way to the famous Chatuchak weekend market!

With BF half dozing off! HAHAHA.

 IMG_1873

I swear that the sun was threatening to kill!

We were both drenched in and out with perspiration within minutes of arrival!

IMG_1875  IMG_1877

How can I resist from getting a fanciful hat upon the sight of this stall?

Isn’t it just gorgeous?!

I bet you will agree, especially when the price is just freaking 99baht!!!

For at least, I’m a little sheltered now. Hohoho.

IMG_1874

Yet another ultimate cool shits that caught my attention!

All these were purely hand made from ropes!!!

I’m totally regretting about not getting one of these art work :(

IMG_1879 IMG_1878

My intention of getting around Chatuchak was to check out the adorable pets that I’ve seen around other blogs during their trip to BKK.

But after walking for a bit & some asking about,

we didn’t manage to see them at all :(

I did after all, happened to come across two really cute puppies with pig-like PINK noses! Wahahaha.

Too bad they had an owner with them & I was too paiseh to take a pic of them.

But they looked something like that:

AWWWWWWW!!!! SO CUTEEEEEEEEEEEE!!!!!!

So I was more or less contented & we jumped into a cab, scooting off for lunch!

It’s lunch time!!!

IMG_1882

IMG_1881

IMG_1885

IMG_1886

IMG_1887

IMG_1889

Make a quick guess on the venue of our lunch?

The ZzZ bugs are chasing me & I’m hallucinating about my bed already.

I’ll might be back tomorrow to reveal the answers~

But if there are no guesses from you guys/girls, perhaps I won’t be back that soon!

If you want me to update on the finals quickly,

and wish to see more pictures, then be more spontaneous k? (:

BKK Trip Part II

Tuesday, March 17th, 2009

BKK Trip Part II

Rise and shine lo!!!

The swimming pool downstairs that I never had a chance to dip in.

No time for that yo, swimming can wait, shopping can’t!

And what’s worst?

By the time we got our asses off the room, it already noon time :(

IMG_1804

My memory is dying on me. Kinda forgot what I did on this day already.

But anyway, it’s already day 3! Gosh! :(

I think I spent my day shopping again. WAHAHAHA.

Anyway, went back to Platinum mall for dinner!

This spicy fried pork rice is super shiok!!!

Used to have it when I was 16, working at Golden Mile as a tour agent of Five Stars tour.

The thought of it makes me salivate all over again :(((

IMG_1810

There’s this small temple situated right outside Platinum mall.

Since we were too lazy to check out the temples of Bangkok,

this is better than nothing:

IMG_1811

IMG_1812 IMG_1814

Along the way, we spotted a miniature elephanty too!

Why mini?

Because I saw A SUPER HUGE ONE; at least twice of it’s size, on the road earlier on!

IMG_1821

Then we continued to explore.

Several times, I was tempted to try out those roadside stalls.

But the sight of the flies, put my thoughts away.

IMG_1688IMG_1824

Eventually, we came across this little stretch that seemed to be more promising.

So we made our virgin attempt with some of the finger foods.

Surprisingly, they were quite delicious! No upset stomachs either!

We tried the ā€œpooā€-looking sausages as well! Tom yam flavored; my favorite!

IMG_1816 IMG_1817

Then to the night bazaar again!

This time, it’s Suan Lum!

I loveeeee night bazaars, for that’s when I can fully utilize my bargaining skills!

I’m damn proud of it. LOL.

At least 1/3 of the price stated is always my first quote!

MUHAHAHA! Feels damn good when I succeed with it.

Can totally taste the fruit of labor. WAHAHAHA.

Must be very firm when you negotiate with the stall owners though!

Be a carrot (Get chopped) or get a steal, it’s really up to you (:

We stayed on till it was time for closure!

 IMG_1825 IMG_1826

IMG_1828IMG_1827

STAY TUNED FOR THE FINAL DAY!

Sorry for this short post, rushing off!

There’s a lot more pictures on the last day (:

Will update when I’m home later or something!

Bangkok Getaway with the BF!

And we both took up the opportunity for a sex change (:

.

.

.

.

.

.

WAHAHAHA!!!

IMG_1901-horz

Thanks to Jetstar for the sponsor (:

IMG_1574

IMG_1570

OFF WE GO!!!

IMG_1576   IMG_1577

IMG_1579

My sweetest companion:

IMG_1585   IMG_1597

Peeping out my little window, secretly bidding goodbye to my sunny island:

IMG_1612

Jetting off above the sky:

IMG_1614

Up into the clouds nine.

Doesn’t it resembles soft and fluffy-like cotton wool?

IMG_1618

Within a short nap, I’m already nearing yet another beautiful land!

IMG_1622   IMG_1623

Landed in Suvarnabhumi Airport:

IMG_1630

Jetstar’s cabin crews:

IMG_1632

With the gigantic Thai statue:

IMG_1634

SAWADEEKA!!!!

WEEEEEEE~~~ Here I am at Suvarnabhumi Airport!

IMG_1636

Paid for the Airport Shuttle’s tickets and we are on our way to the hotel!

Cost only about 150 baht or so! CHEAP!

IMG_1647

IMG_1689

Shiokness! Only 4 of us on the bus!!!

IMG_1639   IMG_1642

Glaring sunlight of the early morning!

IMG_1646

Sight seeing during the bus journey:

Bangkok’s super colorful everywhere! Even the buses around are filled with colors like those from the circus!

IMG_1648

The well known bright colored cabs!

IMG_1658

HOT PINK! Even hotter under the sunshine:

 IMG_1673 IMG_1674

Pink building:

IMG_1656

Pink wall:

IMG_1667

It takes an hour trip before we arrived at the bus stop near the hotel:

 IMG_1683

Our hotel!

Doesn’t the exterior resembles that of a condominium?

IMG_1690

It has gotta be located at the MOST CONVENIENT area ever!

Allocated in town, directly behind Four Season Hotel and close to Grand Hyatt!

IMG_1753

IMG_1752

IMG_1750

At the lobby while checking in:

IMG_1747

IMG_1749

Up to the second highest level, the 14th storey!

IMG_1769

IMG_1746

Welcome Welcome!

Allow me to show you around the interior (:

IMG_1744

IMG_1703

Mariott courtyard was awesome! Great and efficient service.

The staffs do not insist on tips. And when we tipped them a little token, they were extremely appreciative.

Employees there are all smiley, friendly and superbly helpful!

These made the stay even more comfortable than it already is!

Thanks to Mariott for the sponsor (:

IMG_1696

 IMG_1700

  IMG_1706

 IMG_1708

IMG_1709   IMG_1710

Room-service: Pizza!!!

Only at 180 baht!

IMG_1714

Done with unpacking, getting ready to set off to satisfy my SHOPPING CRAZE:

IMG_1719

 IMG_1725   IMG_1728

IMG_1731   IMG_1741

LOL! Lame BF with his silly faces!!!

IMG_1732

Off to Gaysorn first, to check out on the brand boutiques:

IMG_1820

Nothing special (Similar to SG), except it’s extremely quiet and without a single soul.

IMG_1754

After a little walkabout and shopping at Platinium Mall,

we had our dinner at the food court on the top level:

Japanese food! Weird right?

But I did my research and realized that the Jap cuisine at BKK is rather recommendable!

And indeed it was!!!! Must try if you’re there kk??

 IMG_1756 IMG_1757

The total only amounted to 130 baht!

IMG_1759

My loot of the day from Platinum Mall!

My suggestion: Shopping there is sufficient!

It has the cheapest yet gorgeous apparels compared to the other malls (eg. MBK)!

Dresses priced at only $199 baht or below!!! Don’t bother bargaining here.

Just buy 3 from the same shop and get it at wholesale price (:

IMG_1764

Back to our crib to catch a wink.

Then rise and shine early for our brunch:

Kway Tiao with pork meat + meatballs! Delicious and cheap but not tummy filling.

Can ask for additional portion though, since it’s dirt cheap!

Priced at 25 baht only if i dint remember wrongly.

So we went for tea time at Mister Donut! It sure rocks a hell lot better than SG’s.

Not too sweet, just nice (:

IMG_1770 IMG_1771

MBK’s quite a distant walk away from Courtyard hotel.

Thus, we took a train back to save us from the perspiration:

The old school tickets’ machine!

Reminiscing my childhood days~

IMG_1779

 IMG_1778

The train is super short. Probably 1/2 to 2/3 of SG’s?

Considering it’s population, it’s not even over crowded during the noon time!

Does that mean that the train isn’t a preferred transportation?

IMG_1777

Almost similar to SG’s design:

 IMG_1773    IMG_1775

IMG_1776

Headed back to drop off my purchases:

IMG_1787

Grabbed a bit of supper (My Jap food crave never stops, no matter where!):

IMG_1790

Resting our aching legs while waiting for Juney and her pal to arrive!

IMG_1794

The BTS station nearest to our hotel:

Just less than 5 mins walk away!

IMG_1799

IMG_1800

Night shopping at Patpong (Night market + red light district)!

That’s where you can see the prostitutes hanging around, tiger (Thai girl) show etc.

Be extra wary there.

The workers of the tiger show would try to forcefully psycho you to check out the show!

I’ve heard lots of conning going on in there (Claiming that the charges are only 100 baht but you would usually end up with a bill of 1000 baht or more!)

Still, there are lots of accessories and apparels that are worth to look out for (:

 IMG_1802

Alright, time for me to flop onto my bed!

Will be back to update tomorrow should time allows.

More about BKK, stay tuned (:
