“Every great dream begins with a dreamer. Always remember, you have within you the strength, the patience, and the passion to reach for the stars to change the world”. ~ Harriet Tubman
Oh well… everyone has the ability to dream but not everyone is chasing their dreams. The current circumstances or surroundings are mainly the factors that keep people from achieving the things they want to do in life. No one is too old or too young to live on dreams. It is a matter of perseverance and patience to get to the destination.
Blogging has been my passion and hobby since 10 years ago. Believe it or not! I have been blogging for 10 years and my blogging platform has evolved from personal blogging to food, travel and lifestyle posts now. All thanks to my perseverance, passion and patience to continue posting often on my social media platform.
If you want to live your dreams, here are 5 things I would like to share with you guys:
1. No perfect timing
Don’t find excuses to keep you waiting for the perfect timing to start your dream. There is no perfect timing. It is all about you pushing yourself to start working on it. Don’t put off living your dream until tomorrow. Tomorrow never comes.
2. Action speaks louder than words
When you start to work on it rather than keep talking about your dreams, you will find yourself halfway to your destination. Dreaming is a thought that occurs in your mind but you need to have action to produce the dream. It’s just like you want to own a car, you need to work hard to save the money you need to buy it. It shares the same concept in turning it into reality.
3. Brave through the obstacles
“No pain, no gain” is the usual idiom that we always hear throughout our life journey. This applies here as well. Be prepared to chase your dream and face the obstacles. I remember my parents used to disapprove of me blogging because it takes up a lot of my time. They find no value in it at all. They will akways reprimand me spending money on tech gadgets and foods. I will just have to patiently explain to them why I want to continue blogging about it. They gradually understand throughout the years when they see the little achievement I have now. So, learn how to solve the obstacles and find a solution to continue on the path to your dream.
There is no shortcut to success. Sometimes people just want shortcut and speed up the process. I personally feel that perseverance is important to ensure you’ll be successful in your dream eventually. Sometimes, things take longer than you expect it to be. You just need a little patience so that the success is magnified.
5. Have Faith in Youself
When others give negative vibes about your dream, hold on to it. It is your responsibility to make your dream turn into reality. Have faith in yourself because no one will be as passionate about your dream other than yourself. Positive vibes help to generate positive synergy.
“The future belongs to those who believe in the beauty of their dreams”. ~ Eleanor Roosevelt.
