It seems like nothing can stop McDonald’s! Following news of the release of their D24 McFlurry, the fast food chain went on to launch the Curry Burger in celebration of Singapore’s 53rd birthday. The best thing is, curry burger is not the only local-hawker inspired item that you will find on the menu.

Ha Ha Cheong Gai Burger
Yes, your eyes are not playing any tricks. Now you can have your favourite zi char dish-Ha Cheong Gai in the form of a burger. For a price of SGD 6.05, you get a piece of juicy chicken thigh marinated with prawn paste and crispy breadcrumbs, along with a generous amount of fragrant prawn paste mayonnaise.
Ha Cheong Gai Drumlet
We suggest going for the Ha Cheong Gai Drumlet (SGD 2.20, 2 pieces) if you’re someone with a small stomach capacity. Be warned that they’re highly addictive despite their “petite” size.
Kueh Salat Cake
Apart from the new items, McDonald’s will also be bringing back its popular Kueh Salat Cake at all McCafés. For the clueless, the Kueh Salat is a double-tiered dessert with a base of steamed glutinous rice topped with a layer of pandan& coconut milk flavoured custard. Trust us when we say, if you go “coconuts” for anything with coconut, this is one kueh (we mean cake) that you should not miss.
All these items are only available for a limited time, so hurry and make your way to the nearest McDonald’s outlet if you don’t want to miss your chance to try them.
