Air tickets? Booked. Accommodation? Booked. Now you are just waiting in anticipation for your next exciting holiday and take a well-deserved break after working so hard for the year.
The last thing you want is to look like a mess on your holiday. Travelling always leaves us looking tired and worn out, and that isn’t exactly good news when we are posing for our travel photos. How can we keep our skin glowing and dewy-looking with the dry cabin air in the plane, and the hectic days during the trip?

Here are some tips that we swear by to keep your complexion looking fresh and radiant, and all photo-ready for your year-end holiday.
Before the trip:
Start your travel skincare regime even before you board the plane. Up your skin hydration by drinking lots of water, and use a stronger moisturiser to plump up your skin. Get a hydration facial treatment at least one day before your flight to make sure your skin is well-hydrated, because, really, hydration is the key to radiant and glowing skin.
Here are 3 award-winning hydration facials from BMF Bella Marie France:
– Hydraintense Solution: Suitable for moisture-deprived skin and essential to the viability of skin cells. Uses the purest form of Hyaluronic Acid to bind large amounts of water to skin cells, quickly restoring hydration levels and cell metabolism. It is able to increase skin moisture by 1,000 times!
– Pro-Matrix Collagen: Infused with 3 novel ingredients to rebuild your skin’s future from within, combating early signs of ageing by preventing a breakdown of connective tissues and reducing the depth of wrinkles. This treatment ends off with a Power Ocean Gel Mask that is power-packed with sea minerals, marine collagen and hyaluronic acid for intensive soothing and moisturising. The result is a supple, youthful and smooth complexion.
– Hydra Dew Facial: The solution to rehydrate skin and regenerate skin cells. Enriched with active ingredients to fight skin fatigue, retain deep moisture while offering anti-inflammatory effects.
On the plane:
It is a well-known fact that cabin air dries the skin. Make doubly sure that you applied the necessary skincare before boarding the plane. If you can, avoid putting makeup on to allow your skin to breathe. Bring along a facial mist to perk your skin as and when you need it.

Bring along a pack of micellar cleansing wipes to clean your skin since micellar cleansers generally do not require rinsing. After making sure that your skin is nice and clean, use a sheet mask to give your skin a deeper hydration, and lock in the moisture with a dab of moisturiser after that. You can be sure that you will arrive at your destination looking refreshed.
During the trip:
Travelling can be tiring and hectic but DON’T, I repeat, DON’T skip your skincare. Always remove your makeup and follow through with your skincare regime. Use a mask every other day to maintain the hydration level in your skin for the ultimate skin glow.
For glowing and dewy skin, opt for a cushion foundations with a dewy finish instead of powdered foundations. Facial mists are your mid-day saviours to rehydrate your skin and keep the glow of your foundation on.

Last but not least, don’t forget your sunscreen. Exposure to UV rays cause fine lines and wrinkles, skin sagging, pigmentation, and it may even lead to skin cancer. You will be out and about for the whole day and with everything we know about the harmful UV rays, there is no reason to expose your skin to all those risks.
While the majority of sunscreens have the sole function of blocking UV rays, BMF Bella Marie France Global High Protection SPF 50 PA+++has the added function of skin hydration.
It is formulated with 100% mineral filters and advanced anti-photoaging active ingredients, and the cutting-edge UVA and UVB mineral filters offer the ultimate shield from daily sun exposure, preventing any undesirable effects from the harmful rays. An extract of deep-sea microorganism protects the skin’s DNA and acts against environmental pollution and solar-induced ageing. This helps prevent the premature onset of lines, dark spots and increases the skin water reservoir.
BMF Bella Marie France Global High Protection SPF 50 PA+++ has an ultra-smooth texture that leaves the skin luminous, flawless and hydrated throughout the whole day. It is definitely our choice of sunscreen for our upcoming holidays to protect our skin and give it the TLC it deserves.
