For someone who stands at 1.53m, platform heels are a lifesaver for me. It was great news to hear that platform heels are popping up on the spring runways and that they are the must-haves for Spring 2020.

The platform heels trend started in the ’70s, and we saw its resurrection in the ’90s with Spice Girls totally embracing the silhouette. While it has died down in between, we are seeing it come alive with the models strutting down the runways in them, celebrities spotted in them, and street style stars striking their poses with the towering heels.
The best part? While stilettos that gave us those extra inches, they arch your feet so much that it hurts. In contrast, platform heels are much more comfortable and easier to walk in. Now grab a pair, no, two pairs, one in black and one in beige as the basics. But bring out the fashionista in you, and grab all those in bright neon colours, prints, or embellished designs if you must!
