We tend to stick to safe, muted tones when it comes to dressing for the winter season. But who said that we can’t have colours and prints on our coats and knitwear? UNIQLO’s latest collaboration with Marimekko 2019 Fall/Winter collection is here to add some fun to our winter outfits!
In its second limited-edition collaboration with Marimekko, UNIQLO’s new line will celebrate Finnish winter traditions and augments women’s offerings for the first time with items for girls and babies. The lineup features apparels that are both not just functional, but also colourful and chic.

The limited-edition collection brings together the complementary approaches of the two companies. The collection fuses iconic elements from both brands, bringing to life Finnish winter traditions of families enjoying the outdoors in the snowy forests under the magical northern lights, and gathering around the fireplace to warm up in the cosy atmosphere of their winter cabins.
The collection includes several new women’s items designed specially to showcase some of Marimekko’s most recognisable prints such as Kivet (stones), designed by Maija Isola in 1956, Tasaraita (even stripe), designed by Annika Rimala in 1968 and Siirtolapuutarha (city garden), designed by Maija Louekari in 2009. The bold and colourful Marimekko prints will first be featured on the Ultra Light Down Cocoon Coat, Wool Cashmere Hoodie, shirt dresses, and jumpsuits. Also new are items for girls and babies for perfect pairing coordination. The collection includes accessories as well, amongst them are leggings for babies, knitted accessories, and HEATTECH socks.
The UNIQLO X Marimekko collection will be launched on Friday, 29th November. The full collection will be available at UNIQLO Orchard Central, JEM, Suntec City, VivoCity and UNIQLO.com, while selected items will be available at all UNIQLO stores.
