Laksa is one of the iconic local dishes that isn’t just a favourite amongst tourists, but Singaporeans too. Whenever I’m out of Singapore, laksa is that dish that I craved for the most.
This comforting spicy noodle soup dish comes in a broth made with the perfect balance of spices and coconut milk. You can pick any type of noodles that you prefer to go with it, but thick beehoon and yellow noodles are most commonly use. Of course, a true blue Singapore laksa will not be complete without the yummy toppings like cockles, prawns, fishcakes, and beansprouts.
Now, instead of heading down to your nearest coffee shop to grab a bowl of laksa, why not try whipping it up in your kitchen. You can customise it the way you like it, and opt for healthier ingredients too.
