Culture Cartel (CC), Asia’s all-encompassing street culture convention, is refashioned for a virtual world in its third edition this year. Supported by the Singapore Tourism Board (STB) since 2019, the digital convention brings together burgeoning subculture artists and noteworthy labels in Singapore and from around the world to put up an exciting line-up of masterclasses, performances and talks on Saturday, 5 December 2020, from 1pm to 12midnight (SG Time) via https://digital.culturecartel.com.
In the lead-up to the virtual event, CC 2020 raffle tickets, priced at S$2.00 each, will be sold via Klook website. All raffle ticket holders are eligible for weekly draws on every Friday, noon, starting 16th October till 4th December 2020; as well as the final raffle draws during CC 2020 virtual event on 5th December 2020.
The weekly winners will be announced on CC social media platforms and prizes include customised sneakers, skateboards, amongst others. The final raffle draw prizes include limited-edition drops, exclusive collaboration merchandise and shopping vouchers.
CC’s exciting marketplace has always been one of the key highlights of CC, with a well-curated line-up of the trendiest streetwear brands from the region. This year’s online marketplace takes it up a notch with custom-designed 360-degree rotatable interactive digital booth. The virtual booth will be embedded with pop-ups that feature visuals and videos of participating brands, showcase product launches, exclusive campaign highlights as well as 3D products rendering and gamification options.
Cult label Monsoon Patrol will be launching their 2nd collection at Culture Cartel 2020 on 5 Dec 2020 and for this launch, they are will collaborating with Rae (@here.is.rae) – the latest hyper-realistic virtual personality in Singapore – to be the face of their campaign.
Rae is a Gen-Z digital artist and street culture enthusiast, who creates new relationships and real-life experiences every day in a digitally driven world. Monsoon Patrol is a collaboration between Limited EDT and SBTG. Both homegrown brands, Limited EDT is the first dedicated sneaker boutique founded by Mandeep Chopra while SBTG is founded by sneaker design pioneer Mark Ong.
The collection will feature items such as a New Era Cap, a face mask, apparel and a pair of highly coveted Asics Gel Lyte III sneakers that is a follow-up to the previously sold out ASICSTIGER, Limited EDT and SBTG collaboration. Selected pieces from the new Monsoon Patrol collection will be available for pre-order at Culture Cartel 2020 on 5 December 2020.
