The Process  

At Glyken, stringest checks are in place to ensure the best quality. All harvested bird’s nest goes through five essential stages before it gets packaged for retail. 

Harvesting: The process begins with harvesting. All Glyken’s bird’s nest are harvested in a biotech environment at the swiftlet farm that does not pose any risk to the swiftlets.   

Cleaning: Using ultra modern biotechnology, the harvested bird’s nest are all thoroughly cleaned and inspected under the cleanroom enviroment.  

Drying: At Glyken, hygiene and food safety is of the utmost importance. After the bird’s nest have been thoroughly cleaned and inspected, they will have to go through a drying process with the help of modern technology.  

Analysis: All Glyken bird’s nest goes through a heavy metal and microbial analysis to ensure that no harmful substances such as mercury, lead, arsenic and bacteria such as salmonella and e-coli are present.
