I’ve always wanted beautiful, coloured hair that’s everyone’s envy but I never got a chance to try it because I was alright with status quo with black hair, and my daily deliverables in the corporate world made me slightly averse to trying new hair colours. I would look at people with coloured hair plastered all over social channels such as Instagram and Facebook and looking forward to the day when I have luscious, purple hair.

To achieve the desired colour, I needed at least 2 rounds of bleaching and 1 round of full colouring for my virgin hair. Aftercare
It’s extremely important to have robust aftercare that will best care for your tresses. Ideally, you should eliminate harmful chemicals such as SLS/SLES from your shampoo and they need to be sulfate and silicon free in order to give your coloured hair added longevity. I personally use the latest L’Oreal Extraordinary Oil range for coloured hair to maintain my tresses and it has been working amazing for me thus far. The shampoo is extremely hydrating and keeps your scalp clean, while the conditioner entangles your hair in seconds and makes it silky smooth.

The purple pigment is still very bright after a month and I extremely love how it looks! In some angles, my purple hair looks blue and I’m happy that it looks extremely dynamic. Despite naturally having very dry & frizzy hair, and was worried whether bleaching my hair will cause damage, my hair turned out great after all and I’m super pleased with how it looks now! I don’t think I’m ever going back to black hair anytime soon.
