Nivea’s latest hydration series, Aqua Sensation, is inspired by Nobel prize winning theory.
Beauty may not be that frivolous after all.
In 1988, US molecular biologist Peter Agre discovered that skin cell wall is able to regulate the transport of water into and out of it. In 2003, he was rewarded with the Nobel Prize in chemistry for this achievement. It is proven that the more aquaporins the cell membrane has, the more effective water is distributed in the skin. With this finding comes Nivea’s Aqua Sensation. The key ingredient, Hydra IQ, is responsible for promoting the formation of aquaporins in the cell membranes, regulating the movement of water. This also encourage deeper level of moisturisation. The Invigorating Moisturiser ($15.90 for 50ml) is a light cream that get absorbed readily into your skin. It also contains UVA and UVB filters which protects us from external aggressors.
Go get it if… you have oily skin and seek something light yet moisturising. Friendly to your wallet too. Great as a post-workout facial cream. Does not “suffocated” your skin with rich texture after you have perspired and washed up. We also love the light and welcoming scent.
