Nike Singapore invited MyFatPocket to a FASTINISTA Workshop on 29th March at Nike @ Orchard Central. Conducted by the famous fashion stylist, Lionnel Lim, he believes that while most runners dress for function, today we can see a trend in more runners dressing with style consciousness.
Running and working out do not have to look square or dorky. Nike has coined the term FASTINISTA – a concept where function and fashion coincide. Lionnel Lim, assisted by Power 98 DJs, Jamie Yeo and Emily Teng, showed us how looking stylish with the collections of Nike Summer 2012.
“Nike’s products are both functional and stylish. The collection has the versatility to mix-and-match such that a runner can perform as good while looking good. It is all about mixing and matching appropriately. Layering adds definition to an outfit. And it provides the opportunity to transform an outfit from a run with friends, to a post-run gathering,” added Lionnel.
Lionnel’s pick is the running skirt with build-in tights for the women and the new tights with compression benefits for the men, as mentioned in his blog.
Going to the gym and jogging down the streets now will be a delectable eye candy buffet for both men and ladies 😉
