Milan Fashion Week wraps up today and as the fashion glitterati packs up and heads in the direction of Paris to kick off the fourth leg of Fashion Week, there’s no time like the present to round up the 15 best runway looks from MFW’s Spring 2015 collections.
At Milan Fashion Week, we observed three noteworthy trends on the catwalks to keep in mind as we begin to fill our closets with warm weather staples for the next year.
Skin Bearing Sheer Floral Embroidery
Skin is in next summer but only just. On the Blumarine and Alberta Ferretti runways we saw plenty of romantic sheer fabrics festooned with demure floral embroideries.
White on White
Head to toe crisp whites have been gracing the runways yet again. Look out for our pick, Aigner’s sheer white A-line dress that embodies this crisp white color trend along with flowing layers of sheer, floral embellished fabric.
Bold Color Blocks
There was no shying away from color on the Dsquared catwalk where blocks of color were big, bright and bold. A more reserved but equally solid version of the theme carried forward at Jil Sander where classic earthy color blocks ruled the runway.
