It’s Spring Time. Spring… my favourite season in Japan – Beautiful cherry blossoms, wide variety of seasonal fruits, nice weather, nice make-up colours.Everything seems to come to life in spring.
For a person like me who is crazy about make-up, I always feel that spring has the best collection and the
best choices of colours. As all European brands of colour cosmetics, Japan generally has its colour launches twice a year, mainly spring/summer and autumn/ winter. Japanese labels like RMK (Isetan), Kanebo, Shu Uemura and Maquillage (by Shiseido) have all launched their colours for spring/summer.
How to get the look?
Spring blooms with a fresh palate of pastels with a touch of softness and with lots of shimmering glow. Colours are divided into groups of grey, browns, blues, greens, pinks and purple. The final effect? Soft, translucent, radiant and glowing eyes.

Price: Maquillage ($69), Kanebo Coffret D’or ($54)
I love the ‘Maquillage’ series. The colours are all so nice so it was really tough to decide what to try. Beauty Advisor did a trial on me and the eye makeup lasted many hours without any touch-ups. Price is not cheap but a little more can go a long way so I still find it value for money.
