Most of us haven't touched our makeup very much since the stay-home period started except for the occasional Zoom meetings, or when you are up for a selfie for the 'gram.

However, with so many summer makeup looks popping up on our feed, it doesn't hurt to start saving those summer makeup looks in our folder so that we are ready when we can all start going out again.

From the Korean peach makeup looks to graphic liners and pastel eyeshadows, we round up 7 of the hottest makeup trends for summer 2020 so that you can master all those looks now that you have more time in your hands while staying home.

1. Glowing skin

Think of summer and we think of the sun, sea, and sky, plus that sunkissed glow on our skin. A good skincare regime to keep your skin healthy and a solid highlighter to bring out that glow on your skin will create the perfect base for a summer makeup look.

2. Bold and beautiful blush

Unlike the subtle hint of blush that we are used to seeing, this summer calls for bold, pink cheeks. There is no need to be shy about layering them on this season because they are meant to be seen.

3. Lovely purple

Lavender, or a muted lilac eyeshadow will brighten up your eyes and add that fun element into your makeup look this season. It's feminine, yet playful, and outright flattering.

4. The 80s comeback

We used to fear the comeback of the '80s makeup because of how loud they were, and it was a beauty era that we didn't want to go back to. Lo and behold, the nostalgic trends made a comeback and we actually started to welcome the 80s back into our arms again. Jump onto the '80s bandwagon with bold eyeshadows. If you are still a little shy to go all out, try muted tones of blues and pinks first to jumpstart your engine.

5. Graphic eyeliners

Slightly futuristic, but the graphic eyeliner, or some call it floating eyeliner look has been gaining traction on the runways. Black and white graphic eyeliners are the top favourites, but since it is summer, take the look up a notch with some colours.

7. Soft peach

K-beauty lovers are no stranger to this classic Korean peach makeup look. It hasn't gone away, and monochrome peach makeup is still here to stay for a while. Besides, peach is such a flattering colour so there's really nothing to complain about.
